Avocado Hummus is a tasty and nutritious dish for your little one! The earthy taste of chickpeas and the strong flavours of cumin and garlic should tickle your toddler's taste buds while a small slice of warm pita bread should give his tiny teethes a few moments of rest!

Avocado Hummus with Pita or Chapatti

  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 400 grams chickpeas
  • 1 clove of garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 lemon, juice only
  • ½ tablespoon ground cumin
  • Pita bread or chapatti, to serve

    Cut the avocado in half, skin and remove the seed.

    Drain and rinse the chickpeas.

    Blend the avocado, chickpeas, garlic, lemon juice and cumin in a food processor until smooth.

    Transfer the avocado hummus to a bowl and cover with cling film. Chill in the fridge for one hour.

    Serve in bowls with warm pita bread.
