Roasted Rice and Moong Dal Porridge is a great way to continue introducing solid foods to your baby. Green beans are rich in protein and vitamins A, B-6 and C that support your child's physical and cognitive development.

Roasted Rice and Moong Dal Porridge

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown rice, washed
  • ½ cup split skinless green gram (moong dal), washed
  • ½ teaspoon ghee
  • 2 teaspoons finely grated carrot

Method

    Spread the brown rice and moong dal over a muslin cloth and dry under sun for two days.

    Warm a non-stick pan and dry roast the mixture on medium heat for 10 to 12 minutes.

    Cool and grind into a coarse powder. Store in an airtight container.

    In a pan, add one tablespoon of the ground brown rice and moong dal mixture and sauté for a minute.

    Add one cup of water and grated carrots. Cook on low heat for 10 minutes or until the rice is cooked. Mix well.

    Serve.
